1)
Podrán
participar todos los materiales (cortos
de hasta 20 minutos, mediometrajes
de hasta 59 minutos, y largometrajes
de más de 60 minutos de duración)
pertenecientes a los géneros
de terror, fantasía y ciencia
ficción (animación,
imagen real, documental), producidos
con posterioridad al 1 de enero de
2017.
2) Para
presentar la obra a consideración
del Comité de Preselección
del Festival, se debe enviar el enlace
a un screener online a través
de la plataformas FilmFreeway
o FestHome,
además
del siguiente material a [email protected]
- Hoja
de autorización en Word, firmada
en manuscrito digital, para poder
exhibir el material, en caso que sea
seleccionado (requisito
excluyente).
El Festival
no pagará impuesto o tasa alguna
ocasionada por el envío de
copias, ni tampoco fee screenings.
3) La fecha
límite para la recepción
de material es el lunes 30 de setiembre
de 2019.
4) La
inscripción al Festival tiene
un costo de U$S 12 (doce dólares)
para cortos y mediometrajes, y de
U$S 24 (veinticuatro dólares)
para los largometrajes. No se aceptan
envíos de films por correo
electrónico ni redes sociales.
5) Las
películas cuya lengua no sea
el castellano deberán presentarse
subtituladas al español, o
en última instancia con subtítulos
en inglés o adjuntando una
lista de diálogos en inglés
o español para facilitar la
tarea de subtitulado.
6) No
se aceptan largometrajes extranjeros
que hayan sido exhibidos en cualquier
punto de Montevideo, ya fuera en circuito
comercial, cultural, muestras, ciclos,
festivales, convenciones o funciones
especiales. Tampoco los que hayan
tenido difusión en cualquier
tipo de medios electrónicos.
Los largos uruguayos que sí
se hayan estrenado, en caso de ser
seleccionados para integrar la programación
de Montevideo Fantástico, quedan
automáticamente fuera de la
Competencia Internacional, pasando
a integrar la Competencia Iberoamericana
o la Muestra Informativa de Largometrajes.
7) La
organización del evento se
comunicará con aquellos realizadores,
productores y/o representantes cuyas
obras hayan sido seleccionadas.
8)
Los materiales seleccionados para
competir y también los que
serán exhibidos dentro de las
muestras informativas del Festival
se darán a conocer en la página
web del evento, unos diez días
antes del mismo, junto con las fechas,
salas y horarios que componen la programación
final.
9) Aquellos
trabajos que resulten seleccionados
no podrán ser retirados del
Festival, una vez que se dé
a conocer públicamente la selección.
10) No
se exhibirá más de una
obra por director, dentro de una misma
sección en concurso.
11) El
Festival se compromete a efectuar
hasta un máximo de tres proyecciones
para algunas de las obras seleccionadas
(presentación, repetición,
y una nueva proyección, en
caso de que resulte premiada por el
Jurado).
12) El
Festival otorgará los siguientes
premios, además de tres menciones
especiales para largos y tres más
para cortometrajes:

Mejor Actriz (largometraje)

La decisión del Jurado será
inapelable y ningún premio
podrá ser declarado desierto.
13) El
Festival se reserva el derecho de
seleccionar las obras participantes,
determinar en que sección irá
cada una y establecer el orden y la
fecha de exhibición.
14) La
participación en el Festival
implica la aceptación de las
presentes Bases y Reglamentos de la
edición 2019 de Montevideo
Fantástico. Cualquier imprevisto
no establecido en estas Bases y Reglamentos,
o que surja durante el Festival, será
interpretado y resuelto única
y exclusivamente por el Comité
Organizador de Montevideo Fantástico,
y no dará lugar a ningún
tipo de reclamo posterior.

XII MONTEVIDEO FANTASTIC FILM FESTIVAL
(December 6th to 22nd, 2019)
1)
All short films
(up to 20 minutes), medium length
films (up to 59 minutes) and feature
films (longer than 60 minutes) belonging
to horror and sci-fi genres (animation,
real image, documentary) can participate.
They must have been produced after
January 1st, 2017.
2) Participants
have to send a link to a online screener
through FilmFreeway
or FestHome
platforms, in order to be considered
by the Festival Pre-Selection Committe,
together with the following material
to [email protected]:
- Signed
Screening authorization in Word, in
order to be able to exhibit the film,
in case it would be selected (exclusive
requirement). The
Festival will not pay any tax for
the sending of copies, nor any fee
screenings.

Deadline: September 30, 2019
4)
Submissions
for the Festival have a cost of U$S
12 (twelve dollars) for shorts and
medium length films, and a cost of
U$S 24 (twenty four dollars) for long
feature films.
5) Those
films who are not in Spanish language
must be subtitled (in Spanish or at
least in English) or, in their absence,
must attach a dialogue list in English
or translated into Spanish.
6) Non
Uruguayan long feature films that
had been exhibited anywhere in Montevideo,
whether in commercial or cultural
circuit, in festivals or in special
exhibitions, will not be accepted,
even those that had been diffused
in any type of electronic means.
7) The
Festival will be contacting those
participants whose films have been
selected to compete.
8)
The materials selected to compete
and the ones to be in the Informative
sessions will be announced on the
Festival website (http://arte7.com.uy/MontevideoFantastico.htm),
ten days before the event, along with
all the days of exhibition and schedules
that will make up the final program.
9) The
selected films cannot be removed from
the Festival, once the programme is
publicly announced.
10) No
more than one film per director will
be exhibited, within the same contest
section.
11) The
Festival undertakes to make up to
a maximum of three exhibitions for
some of the selected films (presentation,
repetition, and a new exhibition,
in case it is awarded by the Jury).

13)
The Festival
reserves the right decide in which
section the participating films will
go, and to establish the order and
date of exhibition of them.
14) The
participation in the Festival implies
the acceptance of the present Forms
and Regulations of the 12ve edition
of the Montevideo Fantastic Film Festival.
Any unforeseen events not established
in these Forms and Regulations, or
arising during the Festival, will
be interpreted and resolved solely
and exclusively by the Organizing
Committee of the Montevideo Fantástic
Film Festival, and will not give rise
to any subsequent claim.
